I’ve been thinking that Forresters Beach, like many locations, has a myriad of different moods. On any given day the changing light and weather conditions can bring about vastly different images. Here’s a sample of what I’m talking about… these were all shot within 20-30m of each other in the space of an couple hours one morning.

Chk-Chk-Boom!
1 07 2009I added my WordPress blog to my authorised blogs in Flickr today, and thought I needed to just test the linkage to make sure it was working fine.
By the way, this shot was taken with the last few frames of the day at Harbord on the way home from a pre-dawn shoot at Whale Beach. I’ve accumulated a few splash shots, and will almost certainly continue to shoot them a bit as the years roll on, so I thought I’d start a “Splash” set on Flickr. This image was the start of that (still rather small) set.

Magenta Morning
2 06 2009I had a morning to myself mid-last year when I decided to go down to Whale Beach and shoot the northern headland at dawn. I’d never shot there before so I didn’t really know what to expect in terms of the rock formations & the light conditions. The twilight that morning was very…purple. Can’t think of a better way to describe it.
The northern headland at Whale Beach has some really interesting rocks. I’ll definitely have to go shoot it again sometime. Here’s a small sample of what I mean:
